22 Jul All of Us-UW Milwaukee team recognized as UMOS Sponsor of the Year

The UW-Madison team working to advance All of Us Research Program recruitment efforts in the greater Milwaukee area was recently honored as the UMOS Sponsor of the Year.

This award is given to an organization that demonstrates excellence in community engagement and outreach. The organization and team is selected based on its work throughout the year  that proves a genuine commitment to the community, institutes programs for the community with excellence, and gives back to its community by partnering with and providing  ongoing support to community organizations in meaningful and reciprocal ways.

“This award is a great honor,” said Gina Green-Harris, director, All of Us-UW (Milwaukee). UMOS is a nationally recognized organization, and this award will elevate the efforts of our entire All of Us – Wisconsin cohort locally, regionally and nationally.”

The team plans to build upon this recognition as it continues to expand meaningful engagement efforts with communities in Milwaukee.

“I am incredibly proud of the work this team has accomplished in less than one year of existence,” Green-Harris said. “They have worked tirelessly to ensure that the All of Us Research Program in Milwaukee is reflective of the UW’s Wisconsin Idea and supports the needs of our community. I am grateful the team has been acknowledged by our community leaders.”
