NIH taps DR. Joshua Denny to lead All of Us Research Program

National Institutes of Health appointed Joshua Denny, MD, CEO of the All of Us precision health research program, according to a Dec. 11 news release.

Dr. Denny will succeed All of Us’ current director Eric Dishman, who will become chief innovation officer of the program.

As vice president of personalized medicine at Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Denny is currently principal investigator for the VUMC-based All of Us data and research center. The center acquires, organizes and provides secure access to the research program’s dataset.

All of Us launched in May 2018 and has expanded to more than 340 recruitment sites across the U.S., where participants aged 18 and older can contribute a variety of information — including questionnaires, EHR data and DNA samples for genomic sequencing — for the study. Read more …
