Join All of Us Research Program-UW and AARP Wisconsin during Social and Isolation Week, Nov. 12-19, for this informational workshop.
In May of this year, Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy declared loneliness an epidemic in the United States. The health effects of loneliness were compared to smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day.
In this live event, Dr. Dorothy Farrar Edwards, discusses loneliness as a social determinant of health, and how the All of Us Research Program will support new research to understand its profound impact on health. She will also share the Surgeon General’s 6 Pillar Framework for building social connections in an increasingly lonely world.
